The well-reputed organisation Women on Farms Project came to us requesting assistance in finding high quality interns to support their important work. Women on Farms Project focuses on feminist rural development in Stellenbosch, situated just outside of Cape Town.
Women on Farms Project strives to strengthen the capacity of women who live and work on commercial farms to claim their rights and fulfill their livelihood needs. They do this through socioeconomic rights-based and gender education, advocacy and lobbying, human rights case work and support for the building of social movements of farm women.
Gender-based violence is a significant problem in South Africa and affects a multitude of other sectors such as health, education and community empowerment. Ultimately, gender inequalities impede the realisation of full human potential and drive the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
Creative Consulting & Development Works is looking for full or part-time international interns, through our if i could… internship placement service, to spend at least three months with the Women on Farms team focusing on Gender Advocacy. Applicants should be interested in the intersection between agriculture, feminism and human rights. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with an interest in female empowerment and equality, law and human rights issues.
