Lindy has worked extensively in the development sector and has over 25 years professional experience in strategic planning and management, organisational development, budgeting, marketing and producing communication products, campaigns and strategies.
Since establishing CC&DW in 2003, Lindy has taken the lead in all projects in a project oversight role. She gets involved in the more complex, nuanced projects and evaluations and engages with clients at a senior level. She is responsible for business development, strategic vision and direction. She loves creating new products, courses and training offerings and guides the development of staff and the growth of the organisation. She is also passionate about developing if i could… which connects social activism, community service, travel, learning and development through guided, personalised internships, voluntourism and development immersion journeys.
Lindy holds a bachelors degree in Politics and Development and is currently completing a Masters in Community Development with the University of Stellenbosch. She is a member of the South African Monitoring and Evaluation Association.
Susannah brings over 9 years of evaluation and research expertise to the team. Her consultancy experience has exposed her to a wide and diverse range of programmes within the Donor, NGO and Public Sectors.
She has experience working with South African local, provincial & national governments having undertaken numerous government evaluations since 2008. Her career exposure has consolidated and advanced her research, evaluation and project management skills and expertise.
She brings a sound theoretical background in social justice, gender, public health and development issues to the team.
Susannah holds a BA Humanities degree in Psychology and Sociology, an Honours degree in Sociology and a Post Graduate Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation Methods all from the University of Stellenbosch. She additionally holds a Masters degree in Social Justice from the University of Cape Town.
Michaela has years of hands on experience in project management, including business strategies, creative input at the concept level, design, research and strategic implementation, sourcing, production, costing, distribution and legal aspects.
Michaela has an Honours degree in Business Studies from the University of Applied Sciences in Osnabrück, Germany and also studied at the University of Southern Indiana, USA.
Nuraan has developed strong financial and accounting skills over the past twenty years, including experience in the auditing sector.
Her main focus areas at CC&DW are invoicing, completing monthly management accounts, age analysis, statutory returns and preparation of monthly financial statements.
Nuraan holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of Western Cape.
Fia has more than 18 years’ experience in the development sector, focusing mainly on monitoring and evaluation. She has worked in provincial and national government as well as international organisations.
Her current focus is on public sector evaluations, capacity building and relationship building in Gauteng.
She holds a Bachelors degree from North West University in Psychology and Sociology, Masters Certificates in Advanced Social Research Methodology and in Social Impact Assessment, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation Management.
Nicci has over the past ten years developed the necessary skills to conduct programme monitoring and evaluations in the development sector, using both quantitative and qualitative research methods.
Nicci’s main responsibilities at CC&DW include training, facilitation and programme evaluations; within the broader field of monitoring and evaluation in the social development sector.
Nicci holds a Masters degree in Programme Evaluation from the University of Cape Town, as well as a Master degree in Criminology from the University of South Africa. Nicci is an active member of the South African Monitoring and Evaluation Association.
Dianah has over six years of experience both local and internationally in monitoring and evaluation.
Her main focus areas include health, agriculture, food and nutrition security, livestock development, small-scale dairy farming, and civil society.
Dianah holds a Bachelor of Social Science degree in Political Science, Media and Cultural Studies and a Masters in Development Studies from the University of KwaZulu Natal. She is a member of SAMEA and the Golden Key International Honours Society.
Leanne has developed qualitative and quantitative research and evaluation skills including evaluation methodology, Theory of Change development and advanced statistical analysis over the past three years, including strong experience in developing and evaluating M&E systems for social programmes for both non-governmental and public sector clients.
Leanne holds a Master of Philosophy in Programme Monitoring and Evaluation from the University of Cape Town, an Honours degree specialising in Psychology and is a member of the South African Monitoring and Evaluation Association.
Jenna has developed skills in monitoring and evaluating development projects, developing M&E systems, quantitative and qualitative research and analysis, desktop research, report writing, and programme implementation. She also has experience working on both national and regional projects.
Jenna holds a Masters in Programme Evaluation from the University of Cape Town, an Honours in Psychology, and a Bachelor of Social Science in Psychology and Organisation Psychology. She is also a member of the South African Monitoring and Evaluation Association (SAMEA).
Fatima worked as a research assistant and online editorial contributor for three years before joining CC&DW and considers herself a jack of most trades bringing analytical, digital content and research skills.
She has a Masters in Development Studies and is currently completing her Masters in Programme Evaluation.
Mkhululi was part of the City of Cape Town’s Urban Sustainability Internship Programme in 2015 and worked as a programme monitoring intern for the Economic Development Department at the City of Cape Town from February – December 2015.
At CC&DW, Mkhululi assists in qualitative and quantitative data collection and management, report writing, proposal writing, and workshop preparation.
He has a degree in Politics & Media, and writing from the University of Cape Town, an honours degree in Public Policy from the University of KwaZulu Natal, a Certificate in Public Sector M&E from University of Stellenbosch (School of Public Leadership), and is currently writing for his Masters of Philosophy in M&E methods from Stellenbosch University.
Sitho has worked as a programme assistant for development programmes including New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) Planning and Coordinating Agency; NEPAD (Food & Nutrition Security Programme); NEPAD Business Foundation (Infrastructure Desk) and Health Metrics.
She is an emerging researcher and evaluator looking forward to strengthening her career path.
Sitho has a MPhil and a Postgraduate Diploma both in Monitoring and Evaluation from Stellenbosch University, a Bachelor of Arts and Honours Degree in Development Studies.
Itumeleng has a background in capacity building, community mobilization, strategic planning, project management, report writing, training, volunteer coordination/management, youth development, HIV/AIDS programs, corporate social responsibility, proposal writing, workshop facilitation, fundraising and stakeholder management and coordination.
At CC&DW, her main duties are project planning and implementation, management. Along with the rest of the team, she will assist in training and other coordination responsibilities.
Itumeleng holds a degree in Political Science from University of Pretoria. Hold certificates in the following: Monitoring and Evaluation, Project Management in the NGO Sector, Knowledge Management and Human Resources for Health. She intends on studying for her Masters in Public Health.
Chido has developed content writing skills over the past four years, including strong destination and social media marketing.
Chido holds a Bachelor’s degree in media and politics from the University of Cape Town.
Monica worked as a social media manager, web editor and regional digital campaigner for environmental NGOs for four years before moving into marketing.
At if i could…, Monica focuses on highlighting the impact that our work is making in the development sector. She also works to bring a strong spirit of innovation into our media work, particularly in the digital realm.
She has a degree in journalism, majoring in visual communications, from the University of Pretoria, a certificate in interactive web design from AAA School of Advertising, and a certificate in Marketing Strategy from Red & Yellow Marketing School. She is currently pursuing an Honours degree in Strategic Brand Communication at Vega.
Stephanie manages the intern journey from the moment someone applies, including continuous in-country support and logistical leadership.
Stephanie started her career as a Market Research Supervisor, managing a team of 30 researchers. She is a specialist in Business Development and an accomplished HR professional. She has a strong focus in Training & Recruitment and has been responsible for the end-to-end recruitment of all candidates in various sectors internationally. She is also fluent in English, Dutch and French.
She holds a Tourism Management Diploma from Varsity College in Cape Town. During her studies she received a top achievement award for the highest mark for Entrepreneurship in South Africa. She was also a finalist for the best in-house recruitment awards team at the ‘Recruitment Awards for Excellence’ in London.
Nina has developed her skills over the past 8 years, including strong experience in international and grassroot development programme management, facilitation and training, programme and curriculum design and mentorship and coaching.
She holds a Masters degree in International Communication Studies from the International School for Humanities and Social Sciences in Amsterdam, and is a graduate in Community Development and Service Learning from the University of Stellenbosch. After completing her Inner Life Skills Coach certificate earlier this year Nina became a member of COMENSA (Coaches and Mentors of SA).
Vidushi has six years of communication experience, including four years of strong experience in the development sector. As a social entrepreneur, she has curated and executed various projects in India, South Africa and Bhutan.
At if i could…, Vidushi focuses on providing strategic expertise on programme design and execution for the New Delhi internship and volunteering chapter. She also brings with her fresh ideas and creative skillfulness into our work, particularly through content creation for if i could….
Vidushi is currently pursuing a masters degree in Social Development from the University of Cape Town. She holds an honors degree in Development Studies from University of South Africa and a bachelors degree in Journalism & Mass Communication from Guru Gobind Singh Indra Prastha University in India. She is also a founding member at Startup Safari, a travel immersion program that connects young global entrepreneurial minds to the fastest growing startup ecosystems around the world.
Carmen has experience in finance, international recruitment, certification of documents and medical exams for the Cape Town High Court, and she previously worked for Dynamix Learning Solutions for two years.
She holds an Executive Secretarial Diploma and aims to soon complete her Paralegal Diploma.
