Miriam has worked as a Social Worker in child protection from 2013 to 2016 at Cape Town Child Welfare and TBHIV Care Association. Having decided on a career change during the first year of her Master’s Program in Development Studies, she completed a thirteen month internship program in Monitoring and Evaluation at JET Education Services.
. She acquired skills in co-training of fieldworkers, programme monitoring, quantitative and qualitative data collection, programme implementation, desktop and primary research and report writing. Miriam has a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Cape Town and is currently writing for her Masters in Development Studies at the University of Western Cape.
Miriam’s areas of interest are mainly but not limited to; Early Childhood development, Youth Skills development, Social Investments, Education and Health
