Living in the Present: A workshop dealing with stress

24 August 2009

Are you overwhelmed? Feeling the pressures of your work and living environment? Thinking about the past or worrying about the future?

DEVELOPMENT WORKS is facilitating a series of workshops to help you feel at ease in these hard times.

Stress distracts you from being fully present, and decreases your productivity. Take this opportunity to self-reflect, pay gentle attention to and manage the stressors in your life, so that you will be free to pursue your goals with a focussed mind.

Enter into a nurturing, calming and reflective environment where you:stone-pile-2

• Identify positive and negative stressors

• Discover what causes your stress

• Determine your stress symptoms

• Understand how stress impacts on aspects of your life

• Develop techniques on how to cope with stress

• Engage the present and live in the moment

Susannah Clarke is an experienced lifeskills facilitator and mentor and Zani Khumalo facilitates conflict resolution and stress reduction techniques. The workshop facilitators share a background in Psychology.

DEVELOPMENT WORKS is a social development consultancy, specialising in, amongst other fields, facilitation. Specialists in our own right, we facilitate group processes, workshops, strategic planning sessions and lifeskills training.
