→ CREATIVE QUALITATIVE DATA COLLECTION TOOLS
The objective of the workshop is to introduce researchers and M&E practitioners to creative ways for collecting and presenting data. The value of using creative methods spans from enhancing participation (particularly when sensitive issues or vulnerable populations are involved), to facilitating the dissemination of research findings.
Participants will be introduced to a range of creative yet rigorous methods to collect, analyse, and present credible qualitative data.
At the end of this workshop you will be able to:
- Select an appropriate creative qualitative data collection method for the research question being investigated;
- Have an understanding of various creative tools to collect qualitative data, such as storyboards, the use of diaries, and transect walks;
- Embed creative data collection in the research process in a way that facilitates analysis; and
- Have an understanding of how to maximize the impact of the data collected through effective visualisation.
